LUCKY'S LADY - Pre-order is now available!
I have a daughter (well two daughters actually) and they are the sunshine in my days. This morning I received another reminder from my D1, that I have not posted to my page lately and DON'T YOU THINK IT'S TIME YOU DID?
She's right. I have a book coming out this month (finally!) LUCKY'S LADY is available right now for pre-order from Amazon and Apple iBooks. Here are the links:
Lucky's book is the book of my heart. Because of that, it was a challenge to me because I wanted it to be perfect. (If there actually is such a thing as perfect.) That's probably because it was originally the planned ending to the Caversham Chronicles and I wanted it to be something people would remember. When I decided to Indie publish, and readers began to write and tell me how much they loved the series and didn't want the stories to end, I started thinking about being able to continue with the next generations.... Once I decided I would do that, I had to rewrite some of what was in this book to reflect the future of the series. That's hard to do when you don't know what the future of the series is beyond a one or two more books.
Research is not a chore when the subject matter is one you love.
My editor opened my eyes about some things, and I sought professionals out to verify my technical research. So, in the end, it took longer, but it's hopefully a better book for it. My thanks to Adam P. in England, and Karen N. in the U.S. for verifying my work.
Will I do more sailing stories. Well.... probably. Mary-Michael has a shipyard to run. She and Lucky will be coming back to live in Baltimore. But before I do, I have three young ladies waiting to go to a house party and meet the loves of their lives, and a Marquess who needs a mother for his precocious little girl.
So it's back to the writer's cave for me. I will try and make time for more updates. Especially when I begin releasing my translated titles. I have Italian in the works right now, with my translator working on the second book right now. And last night I just accepted terms with a Spanish translator, who will begin working on my books soon. I'm still looking for French and German translators, so if you're one, or know of one, drop me a line here at: Sandy@SandyRaven.com
Oh, if you want to hear something great, it's a really short audio (about 12-13 minutes) on the Tea Races. Here's the link!
And, one last thing... Look for the audio of MISS AMELIA LANDS A DUKE to be released very soon. It's complete and I'm waiting on that same daughter mentioned above to add the cover to the file so that it downloads as one unit. It will be available everywhere, not just through Audible or iTunes. I'm very excited about the prospect of distributing widely with that one audio. Because it's the series prequel, I'm hoping those who hear it will move on to the other books in the series.
That's it for now. I have to get back to work now!
Oh, I can't go without sharing gratuitous picture of a happy dog.
